‘Paperworks’
I make paper mainly from cotton linters fibres.
Sometimes it is cast at the wet stage sometimes
collaged embedded or stitched. It is painted and
waxed to enable it to be hung directly on the wall
without glass.
Inspiration stems from architecture, costume, objects and surfaces worn, deteriorated or affected by age.

‘Linen’
The linen pieces are paintings on vintage linen. The linen is often stitched and collaged onto a surface (usually wood) and the paint is washes of acrylic with wax.

‘Paperclay’
Paperclay is a mixture of cotton linters pulp and clay (usually T Material, a high firing white, grogged stoneware clay.) The sculptural forms are high fired and coloured with oxides. They are relatively light because the paper pulp content burns out during the firing.
